Indonesia: Terrible explosion in Indonesia's Mount Semeru volcano, shadow smoke all around

Mount Semeru, the highest volcano in Indonesia, suddenly erupted on 4 December 2022. Due to the eruption of the volcano, the river of lava is not taking the name of stopping. Clouds of hot ash and gas have engulfed the surrounding areas.

6 villages in the grip of ash

Abdul Muhari, a spokesman for the National Disaster Management Agency, said six villages were covered in ash by the eruption of the volcano. The sky has turned completely black due to the smoke and ash and people are forced to keep their lights on even during the day. Relief and rescue work is going on. Let us tell you that Mount Semeru volcano has been active many times before. Mount Semeru is located in southeast Java. There are many volcanoes here that have been active for many years. But among these Mount Semeru is the most dangerous and high volcano which is currently blazing with flames.

 

121 volcanoes only in Indonesia

For information, let us tell you that there are 121 active volcanoes only in Indonesia. Mount Semeru erupted last year and 51 deaths were recorded. At the same time, 10 thousand of people had to leave their homes and stay in other places. This year's Mount Semeru eruption is spewing a lot of ash, gas, and lava and has flowed down to 8 km. Residents have been given shelter in a school located 20 km away. Here the government has made all the arrangements from food and drink to a medical emergency.

 

3 thousand houses in the danger zone

At present, there are 3 thousand houses in the danger zone of the volcano. Since the eruption of Mount Semeru, ash and smoke has spread to the sky up to a height of five thousand feet. The most dangerous and active volcano among 1500 active volcanoes on earth is in Indonesia only. Many volcanoes have been active since last year and are continuously exploding.
