'Sense of insecurity prevails among members of the Deputy High Commission'

External Affairs Minister expressed concern over the attack on Hindus.
Meanwhile, India has expressed its concern over the treatment of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. Addressing Parliament on Friday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar urged the Bangladeshi government to ensure the safety of minority communities and their places of worship. Tensions have escalated since the removal of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from office in August, even as reports of violence continue in the interim government led by Yunus.
Protests by Hindus started after the arrest of Chinmoy Das.
Let us tell you that this protest started after the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a former member of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Bangladesh, on charges of treason.
