1. Chennai Super Kings (CSK)- MS Dhoni

The five-time IPL champion CSK team is also captained by MS Dhoni in IPL 2024, who will probably play his last IPL this time. Under Dhoni's captaincy, CSK won the IPL title in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023.

 

2. Delhi Capitals- David Warner

Doubts remain regarding the captaincy of Delhi Capitals. Rishabh Pant will play in IPL 2024, but there is no confirmation yet whether he will captain Delhi Capitals or not. If Pant does not take charge of the Delhi team, then like last season, David Warner will be seen captaining Delhi Capitals this time too.

 

3. Kolkata Knight Riders- Shreyas Iyer

Kolkata Knight Risers will be captained in IPL 2024 by Shreyas Iyer, who did not play last season due to injury. Neeti Rana captained KKR last season. Iyer was signed by KKR for Rs 12.25 crore in the IPL 2022 auction.

4. Lucknow Super Giants- KL Rahul

Lucknow Super Giants is captained by KL Rahul, who is currently in NCA after his recent injury. He will be completely fit before the start of IPL. Rahul was unable to play a significant part during the last season of IPL after suffering a quadriceps injury. Rahul has more than 4000 IPL runs in his name.

 

5. Gujarat Titans- Shubman Gill

IPL 2022 champion team Gujarat Titans will be led by young star Shubhman Gill, who was traded by Gujarat. Gill was made the captain of Gujarat Titans after Hardik Pandya moved to Mumbai Indians. The team coached by Ashish Nehra is only two seasons old but has won one title and one runner-up title.

 

6. Mumbai Indians- Hardik Pandya

Before IPL 2024, Hardik Pandya was traded by Mumbai and he was given the command of the team in place of Rohit Sharma. Everyone seemed angry with the decision to snatch the captaincy of Mumbai from Rohit. 7. Punjab Kings- Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Punjab Kings for IPL 2024. Playing 217 matches in the IPL, Dhawan scored 6,617 runs and is the second-highest run scorer in the IPL.

 

8. Rajasthan Royals- Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson will continue to captain Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. Rajasthan Royals have not won the title since 2008 under the leadership of Shane Warne. Samson and his team were within reach of the title in 2022 before losing to Gujarat Titans.

 

9. Royal Challengers Bangalore- Faf Du Plessis

Faf du Plessis will captain the RCB team in IPL 2024. After Virat Kohli left the responsibility of captaincy in the year 2021, the franchise gave this responsibility to Faf, who was bought in the auction for Rs 7 crore. Playing 130 matches, Du Plessis has scored 33 half-centuries in the IPL with the highest score of 96.

 

10. Sunrisers Hyderabad- Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins, who led Australia to the title under his captaincy in the ODI World Cup 2023, will lead SRH in IPL 2024. Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL auction for Rs 20.50 crore. Aiden Markram led the team last year when it finished bottom of the table.
