The arrested accused told the police during interrogation that they were going to get Rs 2.5-3 lakh for this. However, the demand was kept for Rs 1 crore. At the same time, the accused were living in a rented house in Kurla, Mumbai for a month and used to do recce of Baba-Zeeshan Siddique's house and office. After this, on the night of Dussehra, they fired bullets amidst the sound of firecrackers, due to which for some time people could not understand what happened.
After Baba Siddique was shot, he was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, but he died during treatment. Now the police have also raised questions on the role of the security guard in the investigation.
