Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with BJP officials across the country on August 17. Along with Prime Minister Modi, Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the party's national president JP Nadda will also be present in the meeting. After the meeting, the party's membership campaign can start in September.
After that, the process of organizational elections of the party will start in the states and the new national president will be elected in January. According to party sources, JP Nadda can continue to hold the charge of national president till the organizational elections are completed.

This time the party does not want to make a hasty decision by appointing an executive president and is in favor of bringing the national president through the process of organization elections.
