The number of players in this age group is 67 percent. After this, there are 31 to 40-year-old players. Such players are 23 percent. At the same time, there are nine percent of 13 to 20 years. In this auction, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Bihar will be the youngest player. His base price is Rs 30 lakh. At the same time, former England fast bowler 42-year-old James Anderson will enter the auction for the first time. He is the oldest player in this auction. Anderson has set his base price at Rs 1.25 crore. Anderson has not played any T20 match since 2014 and has never been a part of the IPL. However, now he has made up his mind to enter the IPL. He retired from cricket in July 2024. Given his experience, many teams can bet on him.

Apart from Vaibhav, 17-year-old Ayush Mahatre, 18-year-old Andre Siddharth and Quena Mphaka will also be seen in the auction. Mphaka is a South African fast bowler who played for Mumbai Indians last season. These four will be the four youngest players in this auction. Out of the 574 players shortlisted in the mega auction this year, there are 48 capped Indian players, 193 capped foreign players, three associate country players, 318 uncapped Indian players, and 12 uncapped foreign players. Capped players are those who have played international matches. At the same time, uncapped players have not yet made their global debut. In the mega auction, there are 81 players with a base price of two crores, 27 players with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore, 18 players with a base price of Rs 1.25 crore, 23 players with a base price of Rs one crore, 92 players with a base price of Rs 75 lakh, eight players with a base price of Rs 50 lakh, five players with a base price of Rs 40 lakh, 320 players with a base price of Rs 30 lakh.
