Just a few days after the T20 final, India's first Test match against the West Indies is to be played in Ahmedabad from October 2.

Meanwhile, a BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity, "There is a break of five weeks and there is no major tournament during this time, so these three players can be directly included in the T20 team. There will be a maximum of 6 T20 matches in 21 days in the Asia Cup, which is not much workload. However, keeping in mind the 17-member team, the selectors will consider all the options."
Keeping in mind the UAE pitches and the T20 World Cup to be held after 6 months, Jaiswal, Gill, and Sudarshan are considered to be important players of the top order.
