Ahmedabad Plane Crash: Home Minister Shah expressed grief over the plane crash, The Aviation Minister said - we are keeping an eye on the situation

A major plane crash occurred in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Thursday. The plane is said to be of Air India, in which more than 200 passengers were on board. After this accident, the operation of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad has been temporarily stopped. The airport spokesperson informed that the operation of all flights has been temporarily stopped till further notice.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu over the phone and inquired about the plane crash. Ram Mohan Naidu's office informed that the minister told the Prime Minister that he was reaching Ahmedabad immediately so that he could monitor the relief and rescue operations. The Prime Minister instructed the minister to provide all necessary assistance immediately and to keep him informed about the situation. Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said on Twitter, I am shocked to know about the plane crash in Ahmedabad. We are on high alert. I am personally monitoring the situation and have directed all aviation and emergency response agencies to take prompt and coordinated action. Rescue teams have been deployed and all efforts are being made to ensure that medical aid and relief assistance is rushed to the site.

President Draupadi Murmu also expressed grief over the incident. She wrote on Twitter, "I am deeply saddened to learn about the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. This is a heart-wrenching disaster. My condolences and prayers are with the affected people. The whole nation stands with them in this hour of grief."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Twitter, "Disaster response forces have been immediately dispatched to the accident site. Spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, and Ahmedabad Police Commissioner to assess the situation."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "A tragic accident has taken place in Ahmedabad." A plane has crashed. It was on its way to London. A lot of passengers have lost their lives. I pray for the safety of the passengers. My condolences to the bereaved families.

Adani Group chief Gautam Adani wrote on Twitter, "We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragedy of Air India flight number 171. Our condolences are with the families who have suffered unimaginable loss. We are working closely with all the authorities and offering our full support to the families on the ground."
