'It took years to accept stepmother Helen': Arbaaz Khan said - It was not easy to live with two wives under one roof. Father handled the situation

Arbaaz Khan says that when his father Salim Khan got married to Helen, that time was very difficult for his family and mother Salma. Arbaaz said that it took him and his family many years to accept Helen.

 

However, after a few years, the whole family was able to come together because of Salim Khan. Arbaaz Khan recently invited stepmother Helen on his chat show The Invincibles. During this, both talked about many things related to the Khan family.

 

That time was very difficult for my mother.

Arbaaz has told Helen that those times were very difficult for his family. He said, 'It was a difficult time, especially for my mother. We were all young at that time. Although our father never treated all of us step-by-step.

 

He didn't ignore anything from us. They didn't even deprive us of any facilities. He (Salim Khan) gave it a place in his life with full respect. For him, it (marriage to Helen) was an emotional accident.

 

It was not easy to place Helen as a member of the house.

It was not easy for the Khan family to give space and respect to Helen as a member of the household. Talking about this, Arbaaz said, 'It was not easy to say that things are normal. It was not easy for two wives to live under the same roof.

 

At that point, the matter had become very complicated. How and why this worked is difficult to answer. I think things became easier for us with honesty and coordination.

 

Father Salim's important role in keeping the family together

Arbaaz gave credit to his father Salim Khan for keeping the family together. Arbaaz said that his father tried hard to keep all of them together as a happy family.

 

Salman and Sohail also decided to stand by him. This thing became normal with time. Salim acted as a strong pillar to hold the family together.

 

Salim came close to Helen after 17 years of marriage

Salim had fallen in love with the famous dancer Helen for 17 years of marriage to Salma. On loving another woman despite being married, he had said in an interview with Arbaaz Khan, 'I had no such intention. Helen was also young, I was also young, and it was an emotional accident. This could have happened to anyone.

 

Later, Salim, Salma, and Helen started living under the same roof. Salim's entire family also accepted Helen. All the children of Salim, including Salman, call Helen as Aunty.
