Rajinikanth's film 'Jailer' has been released in theaters on the previous day. With this film, 'Rajinikanth' has returned to the big screen after 2 years. Ever since the release of the trailer, the audience was quite excited about the full action-packed film. People offered milk and garlands on Rajinikanth's poster and also performed aarti. In the South, this film is running smoothly and on the first day, it has made a bumper collection of 44.50 crores, while the release of this film in Hindi is facing trouble.
No film on OTT before eight weeks
The national multiplex chain has not screened the Hindi version of Rajinikanth's film Jailer because of his ban clause. The producers were ready to sign a hold-over clause of four weeks, but the national chain wanted a gap of eight weeks before it could be streamed on an OTT platform. Talking about this, Pankaj Jaisingh of UFO who has distributed the Hindi version said, 'Fundamentally this segment is not correct. Sometimes films are shown in theaters for a very short time, but the national chain expects you not to screen it on the OTT platform before eight weeks.
The clause applies to the Hindi version
Not only that they will stop screening the film in their theaters after a week or two but will not allow the producer to release it on OTT, so ultimately it is the loss of the producer.' He further said, 'There should be a clause of about four weeks in theaters before releasing on OTT because it is such that films do not stay in theaters for a long time.' Jaising, however, said that the eight-week holdover clause applied only to the Hindi version. Hence the national chain has screened the Telugu and Tamil versions of the film.
Worldwide release on so many screens
The audience was waiting for Rajinikanth's film for a long time. In the film, the South Superstar played the role of a policeman who has two roles - one as a family man and the other as a full-action mode policeman. Apart from Rajinikanth, Tamannaah Bhatia has also played an important role in Jailer. Please inform that Rajinikanth's film 'Jailer' has been released on around 7000 screens worldwide.
