Shreyas Iyer once again failed to score big in the second Test match against England in Visakhapatnam. Former Indian cricket team fast bowler Zaheer Khan is disappointed with this. Shreyas has not scored a single half-century in Tests since December 2022 and Zaheer believes that if he does not perform, he may have to make room for KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Zaheer said that the selectors can announce the team for the remaining three Tests in the next few days. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli may return. So if you have two players coming in, then two players will also be out of the playing eleven because they are the players who will directly take their place in the playing 11.
Shubman Gill is ahead of Shreyas Iyer in the race

So far, Shreyas has scored 811 runs in 24 innings of 14 Tests at an average of 36.86. During this period he scored one century and five half-centuries. His previous score of 50+ runs came against Bangladesh in December 2022. Then he played an inning of 87 runs in Dhaka. Since then he has played 13 innings and scored only 216 runs. His highest score in the last 13 innings has been 35 runs.
