Migrant workers in Kashmir are again the target of terrorists. This is the second terrorist attack on migrant workers within five days. These attacks have once again raised questions about the safety of more than 50 thousand migrant workers working in the valley. This is the fifth terrorist attack on non-Kashmiris in Kashmir so far this year.
According to the information, terrorists had carried out similar terrorist attacks on migrant workers in 2021. On October 16 and 17, 2021, four laborers from Bihar and UP were shot dead. Then migrant laborers migrated from the valley on a large scale. Now again efforts are being made to create a similar atmosphere in Kashmir.
There are a large number of outside laborers in Kashmir.
Let us tell you that migrant laborers work in all the big projects running in different districts of Kashmir. Laborers from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Punjab work in apple orchards and packing in Kashmir. They work on various projects for construction companies. Even in Kashmir, there is a large number of them among the local fruit and vegetable sellers. These laborers are also employed in railway schemes.
Attacks on migrants this year
On April 8, a terrorist attack was carried out on Delhi cab driver Paramjeet Singh in Shopian.
On April 17, Raju Shah, a resident of Bihar, was killed in Anantnag.
In February, two people from Punjab were shot dead in Srinagar.
Attack on the camp of a company constructing a tunnel in Ganderbal

In Gagangir Gund in Ganderbal in central Kashmir, terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on the camp of the workers of the tunnel-building company APCO. In this, two laborers died on the spot, while five others injured were admitted to the hospital. Among the injured, a Kashmiri doctor and four other laborers died during treatment.
