Jawan Day 1 Collection: Booking figures cross 25 crores, this is the math to earn 70 crores on the first day

A day before the release of actor Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee's film 'Jawan', which is going to be released on Thursday with great enthusiasm from social media to theatres, the hashtag Boycott Jawan has started trending on X. Users are linking the film to DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and on Wednesday morning there were more than 10,000 tweets regarding this hashtag. Meanwhile, the film has so far earned around Rs 27 crore from bookings, and film trade experts believe that the film can earn around Rs 70 crore on the first day of its release.

 

After the Thursday shows are almost full in the booking of Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Jawaan', the battle for tickets for the weekend has now started. It is worth noting that the entire amount of tickets sold in the booking is not counted in the opening collection of the first day itself. According to figures till Wednesday morning, the film has sold more than nine and a half lakh tickets for its Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions together and this is a new record for ticket sales in the booking of any film. Among the films released in Hindi, the highest number of 6.50 lakh tickets were sold in booking for the Hindi version of the film 'Baahubali 2'. So far, about eight and a half lakh tickets have been sold in the booking of only the Hindi version of the film 'Jawan'.

 

The hashtag of a boycott of the film 'Jawaan', which is going to be released on Thursday, Janmashtami, is also trending since Wednesday morning. This is the first film released this year whose boycott trend has not been controlled by X (Twitter) with its changed algorithm. Since Elon Musk bought Twitter, the technical team of this social media has been keeping a close watch on the hashtags created against Hindi films, especially Bollywood. Since Wednesday morning, the marketing team of the film 'Jawaan' has become active in dealing with the hashtag Boycott Pathan.

 

According to the figures till Wednesday morning, the total number of tickets for the Hindi version of the film 'Jawan' is 8,45,594. The Tamil version has sold 61,600 tickets and the Telugu version of the film has sold a total of 44,836 tickets in bookings so far. The film 'Jawan' was also released in IMAX format and almost all the IMAX tickets were sold out on the first day of its release. The number of these tickets till Wednesday morning is 14,683. The film has thus far earned Rs 26.45 crore in bookings.

 

According to the statistics of films released only in Hindi, Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Pathan' holds the record for the biggest opening on the first day in films released in the country, which earned Rs 55 crore on the day of release on January 25 this year. Were. The Hindi version of the film 'KGF 2' took an opening of Rs 53.95 crore last year. Earlier this record was in the name of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's film 'War', released in 2019, which took an opening of Rs 51.60 crore on October 2. It is expected that the film 'Jawan' will break the record of Shahrukh's previous film 'Pathan' on the very first day of its release. Trade experts are estimating that the film 'Pathan' can earn around Rs 70 crore on the first day of its release.
