After the name of 37-year-old Indian-origin entrepreneur Rinson Jose surfaced in the recent Pager blasts in Lebanon, the Kerala Police on Sunday started a family investigation into his background. A police official told news agency PTI that this is not a case or an investigation.

The officer said that the Special Branch officials have investigated the background of Rinson Jose. There is nothing new in this, it happens whenever such news comes out. Another official said that precautionary patrolling has been started in the area near Mananthavady after the reports.

Rinson grew up in Wayanad

Rinson's family has not requested police protection. His maternal uncle Thankachan told the agency that he is completely confident that he will not do anything wrong. He grew up in Wayanad. He left India 10 years ago after completing his MBA. As far as we know, he is currently working for a company in Norway.

Came to Kerala last year

He said that Rinsan came to Kerala in November last year and left in January. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sandeep G. Varrier has demanded security for Rinsan and his family. BJP state committee member Varrier said in a Facebook post, 'He is the son of our country. He is a Malayali. We should provide security to Rinsan and his family at any cost.'
