Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a two-wicket defeat at the hands of Rajasthan Royals in a thrilling match on Tuesday. After facing defeat in the 31st match of IPL 2024, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer said that it is difficult to explain anything about this match.

 

Shreyas Iyer said that this match is like a bitter pill, which is difficult to swallow. He also said that there were ups and downs of emotions in the last moments of this match. The KKR captain admitted that he had not expected such a close match. But now their efforts will be to move ahead and make a strong comeback in the next match.

Shreyas Iyer told why Varun Chakraborty bowled the last over in the match. He said, "Jos Buttler was hitting the ball well. I felt it would be better to reduce the pace and hence gave the responsibility of the last over to Varun Chakraborty. Butler batted brilliantly. We will let this match go because it was a difficult match. We must learn from our mistakes and make a strong comeback.
