Former Indian cricketer K. Srikkanth is disappointed with the poor performance of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing IPL. He has said that he was hurt after seeing the performance of RCB bowlers against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the record-breaking match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. On Monday, RCB suffered a 25-run defeat to SRH, their sixth defeat in seven matches. Sunrisers scored 287/3 in 20 overs, which was the highest score in IPL history.
Srikkanth took a dig at RCB and said that they should field only 11 batsmen, especially when they play at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Srikanth also said that Virat Kohli could have bowled better than the one who gave away 287 runs in the match.
Srikanth said on a YouTube show – Reece Topley is being thrashed. Loki Ferguson was getting beat up. He has not performed well in IPL. Ferguson has traveled from Kolkata to Bengaluru. Will Jacques was their best bowler. It would be better if they played 11 batsmen. Ask Faf du Plessis to bowl two overs. Give four overs to Cameron Green. I think Virat Kohli would not have given so many runs if he had bowled four overs. Virat Kohli is a good bowler. RCB did not give a chance to any specialist spinner against Sunrisers. Apart from this, Mohammad Siraj was also made to sit on the bench. The team's bowling lineup looked inexperienced.
