The investigation into the rape and murder of a female doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital is underway. On the other hand, protests are continuing against the incident. Meanwhile, the mother-in-law of the accused Sanjay Roy said he could not have committed this crime alone. More people may also be involved in this case.
She said that her daughter's relationship with Sanjay was strained. Roy had beaten her daughter and a complaint was also lodged in a police station. When her daughter was pregnant, she got the abortion done and she also bore the expenses for her illness. The mother-in-law said Sanjay is not a good man. Hang him or do whatever you want to do with him. I cannot say anything about the crime. But he could not have done this alone.
Earlier today, a close associate of Sanjay ran towards the CBI's Special Crime Office in Kolkata on Monday. Protests are being held in many cities against the rape and murder of the female doctor. In which the demand for hanging the accused and justice is being made. The apex court took cognizance of the matter. On Tuesday, a bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud heard the matter.
CBI sources said that the CBI has got permission to conduct a polygraph test of the arrested accused. The CBI team did a 3D mapping of the emergency ward of the hospital on August 18. The West Bengal government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the financial irregularities in RG Kar Medical College from January 2021 till now.
