The investigation into the rape and murder of a female doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital is underway. On the other hand, protests are continuing against the incident. Earlier today, a close associate of Sanjay ran towards the CBI's Special Crime Office in Kolkata on Monday. Protests are being held in many cities against the rape and murder of the female doctor. In which the demand for hanging the accused and justice is being made. The apex court took cognizance of the matter. On Tuesday, a bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud heard the matter.
CBI sources said that the CBI has got permission to conduct a polygraph test of the arrested accused. The CBI team did a 3D mapping of the emergency ward of the hospital on August 18. The West Bengal government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the financial irregularities in RG Kar Medical College from January 2021 till now.
