Mumbai Police has issued a third summons to stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra. He has been asked to appear on April 5 in connection with making derogatory remarks about the state's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Police officials said that he was summoned by the police twice before, but he did not join the investigation.
A controversy has arisen after a parody song sung at a show in Mumbai. In the parody, Kunal Kamra targeted Shinde, the Shiv Sena chief after the rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray, and called him a traitor.
