Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has attacked Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, expressing strong displeasure over a statement made by him. In fact, Yogi Adityanath had recently accused the DMK government of Tamil Nadu of dividing people on the basis of language for vote bank politics over the delimitation and three language policy controversy, in response to which Stalin has now also surrounded Yogi Adityanath.
Stalin targeted Yogi Adityanath.
Stalin wrote in a post shared on social media that 'The demand for Tamil Nadu's language policy and fair delimitation is resonating across the country today. The BJP is upset with this, which is evident from the interviews of their leaders. Now Honorable Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wants to give us a speech on hatred. Spare us. This has become a political comedy.' After this, Stalin clarified the allegations of Yogi Adityanath and said 'We are not opposing any language but we are opposing imposition and blind nationalism. This is not vote bank politics but it is a fight for justice and self-respect.'
What did Yogi Adityanath say
It is worth noting that in a recent interview with news agency ANI, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath made a statement regarding the opposition to language policy and delimitation in Tamil Nadu. Yogi Adityanath termed the language dispute as petty political thinking. He said that Stalin was trying to divide based on religion and language because his vote bank was slipping. Yogi Adityanath said that language should unite people and not divide them. He also advised people to be cautious of divisive politics.
There is a controversy over language policy and delimitation.
It is worth noting that the DMK government of Tamil Nadu is opposing the three-language policy under the new National Education Policy. Along with this, the DMK government is also opposing the delimitation based on population. However, Home Minister Amit Shah has clearly said that after delimitation, seats will not be reduced based on population in the southern state. However, the Tamil Nadu government is constantly attacking the central government. Tamil Nadu CM Stalin had said in one of his statements recently that southern states should not be punished for controlling the population. They allege that if delimitation is done based on population, it will reduce the number of Lok Sabha seats in the southern states and their political representation in Parliament will decrease.
