Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the superstar of the final for Team India. He played a blistering innings of 175 runs off 80 balls. Caleb Faulkner scored a century for England, but he couldn't lead his team to victory. Faulkner scored 115 runs off 67 balls.

After that, they defeated Bangladesh by 18 runs to enter the Super Six stage.

Largest Run Chase in Under-19 World Cup History

India also holds the record for the largest run chase in the Under-19 World Cup. The team achieved this feat in the semi-final match against Afghanistan. Afghanistan, batting first, scored 310 runs for the loss of four wickets in 50 overs. In reply, Aaron George scored a century for India, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre scored half-centuries, enabling the team to chase down the target, scoring 311 runs for the loss of three wickets in 41.1 overs. India thus created the record for the largest run chase in the Under-19 World Cup. Previously, this record belonged to New Zealand, who chased down a target of 305 runs against Ireland in 2006. India broke this 20-year-old record.
