Students from the government to private law colleges in the country have written a letter to the Bar Council of India BCI, because of the epidemic period, have made several important suggestions for change in this year's evaluation system.
Students say that since every house has been affected due to the epidemic, they too have not remained untouched by it. They demand that the results of this semester should be decided based on an internal assessment by canceling the final semester examination of the current semester.
Law students, in a memorandum sent to the BCI, said that it should direct law universities to make appropriate changes in their examination system and give relief to them. This memorandum has been sent by 2136 students to BCI. These students are from renowned law colleges of the country such as Jindal Global Law School, Symbiosis University, Gujarat National Law University, Maharashtra National Law University, Indraprastha University, Narasimunji, Delhi University, etc.
A Covid-19 positive test should not be mandatory
These students said that documents have been sought in many colleges to give relief to the students affected by the corona. Corona positive report of the concerned student is also being sought for this. While the reports often come up negative in the investigation, they are also affected due to the contagion of parents, etc. in the family. He is treated as corona-afflicted or asymptomatic. In such a situation, it is inappropriate to ask for positive reports and other documents.
Requested these changes
The law students urged the BCI to cancel their examinations for this year because of the extraordinary circumstances and prepare and declare their results based on internal assessment. The internal evaluation process has been completed in various colleges. In this, tests, projects, oral examinations, presentations, etc. are made the basis.
