Achievement despite challenges
Ajay Sahai, director-general of FIEO, an Indian exporters' body, said that India achieved this record amid challenges like shortage of containers, increased freight prices, lack of capital. It is also $110 billion more than last year. This will have to be increased further in the future. This will be helped by Free Trade Agreement and Production Based Incentive (PLI) scheme. FIEO Vice President Khalid Khan said that this achievement is also important for the country because we have achieved it amid the pandemic.
