Lok Sabha Election 2024: The credibility of many ministers will be tested in the third phase of the election, and the fight will be interesting in Mainpuri.

Posted on 29th Apr 2024 by rohit kumar

In the third phase, in the interesting election battle of Mainpuri, BJP has fielded Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh in the state government against the current SP MP Dimple Yadav. Jaiveer is a BJP MLA from Mainpuri assembly constituency. Mainpuri's seat has been held by SP since 1996. BJP has not been able to open an account here yet. However, in the 2022 assembly elections, BJP managed to win two assembly constituencies of this Lok Sabha seat. It remains to be seen whether Jaiveer can plant the BJP flag on Mainpuri's seat or not.

Union Minister of State for Law and Justice SP Singh Baghel is trying to reach the Lok Sabha for the second consecutive time from Agra (Scheduled Caste) seat. He is contesting against SP's Suresh Chand Kardam and BSP's Pooja Amrohi. Suresh Chand Kardam is a shoe businessman who contested the mayor's election from Agra in the year 2000. Pooja Amrohi is the daughter of Congress Rajya Sabha member Satya Behan. Baghel will also be examined in the third phase.

  Anup Valmiki also tested

Yogi government's Minister of State for Revenue Anup Valmiki will also have to undergo the examination in the third phase. He is an MLA from the Khair assembly constituency of Aligarh. BJP has fielded him in the electoral battle from Hathras seat. He will have to face Jasveer Valmiki of SP and Hembabu Dhangar of BSP.

It remains to be seen whether Anup Valmiki, who became MLA from village head and then a member of the state cabinet, can bring Hathras seat back to BJP or not. This phase is also challenging for the state government ministers related to the areas where elections are being held in the third phase.

Baby Rani Maurya's reputation is also at stake

In this phase, the reputation of Baby Rani Maurya, Minister of Women Welfare, Child Development and Nutrition in the Yogi government on Fatehpur Sikri seat, is also at stake. Baby Rani is the BJP MLA from Agra Rural area under Fatehpur Lok Sabha seat. Being the Women's Welfare Minister, the BJP would expect her to strengthen the party's support base among half the population. This stage is also prestigious for Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay.

Upadhyay is the BJP MLA from the Agra South assembly constituency, which falls under the Agra Lok Sabha seat. Being an MLA and a minister, the party will also evaluate his role in making the BJP candidate win in the Lok Sabha elections. This is the reason why Upadhyay is especially sweating among teachers and principals. Being a resident of Agra, the credibility of Minister of State for Civil Defense and Home Guards (Independent Charge) Dharamveer Prajapati is also linked to the election results of the Agra seat.

The reputation of another cabinet minister of the Yogi government, Dharampal Singh, is also linked to the third phase. The Livestock Minister in the state government, Dharampal Singh is a BJP MLA from Amla assembly constituency which is part of the Amla Lok Sabha seat. As a regional MLA and minister, eyes are also on how effective a role he will play in ensuring BJP's victory on the Amla seat in the Lok Sabha elections. In the third phase, elections will also be held on the Sambhal Lok Sabha seat. BJP had lost this seat in the last Lok Sabha elections.

Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi is the MLA from Chandausi Assembly constituency of this Lok Sabha seat. In such a situation, his activism and popularity in the area will also be tested through the elections going to be held on Sambhal seat. The third phase is no less prestigious for Dr. Arun Saxena, BJP MLA from Bareilly Assembly constituency and Minister of State for Forest and Environment in the state government. In this phase, elections are being held on the Bareilly Lok Sabha seat where BJP has fielded former Minister of State Chhatrapal Gangwar by canceling the ticket of its senior leader and eight-time MP Santosh Gangwar.

Son is a minister and father in the field

Rajveer Singh, son of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, is contesting the elections to win the Etah Lok Sabha seat in the third phase. His son, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education, Sandeep Singh is the MLA from Atrauli Assembly constituency, neighboring this Lok Sabha seat. Being a son, Sandeep Singh's reputation is also linked to his father's choice.
