Jaideep Ahlawat and Junaid Khan's 'Maharaj', released last month, is getting a lot of love from the audience. It has received more than 5.3 million views in the second week of its release. Junaid Khan started his career through this film made in collaboration with Netflix and YRF Entertainment. Now the news has come that the film has made it to the global non-English top ten list in 22 countries.

The film 'Maharaj' has reached number two in the top ten list in Netflix's non-English category. Reacting to this, Junaid Khan expressed gratitude. He said, 'I am only grateful for the love, appreciation, as well as the feedback given by people for my first film. I congratulate my producer YRF, my director Siddharth P. Malhotra, Jaideep Sir, Sharvari, Shalini, and every cast and crew member on this special moment. This is our collective victory. We have made a special film which Netflix has shown worldwide and it is being liked by the audience everywhere.'

 

The story of the film is based on a true incident.

The film is based on true events based on the Maharaj defamation case of 1862, which has become very popular among the audience. The audience has praised the drama for its compelling narrative and acting. Apart from Junaid Khan, the film stars Jaideep Ahlawat as the main villain. Also, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari Wagh are in lead roles. Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, the film was released on Netflix on June 21 and is currently streaming exclusively on the platform.
