The judicial custody of former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh has been extended for another 14 days. He was arrested by the ED on 2 November 2021 in connection with the extortion and money laundering charges against him. He is currently lodged in Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.
At the same time, the lawyer of sacked Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waje had cross-examined Anil Deshmukh a day before the Chandiwal Commission.
