Arijit Singh was first seen in the singing reality show 'Fame Gurukul' in the year 2005. 18-year-old Arjit got a lot of love from the people in this show. He even won the hearts of the judges - Javed Akhtar, KK, and Shankar Mahadevan, but had to face rejection in the top 5 of the show. Arjit had to go out of the show after reaching the sixth position due to fewer votes. Qazi Tauqeer and Rooprekha Banerjee became the winners of 'Fame Gurukul'.
