Every year on May 2, fans around the world celebrate 'International Harry Potter Day' and the reason for this was the Battle of Hogwarts, which was fought between the students of Hogwarts and Lord Voldemort. Harry Potter's enemy Lord Voldemort was defeated in this battle.

 

What is the history of International Harry Potter Day?

Let us tell you that the books of the Harry Potter series were released in 1998 and films based on its books started being made in 2001. However, Harry Potter Day was established a decade after the films were made. David Cameron, then President of the United Kingdom, announced that May 2 would be celebrated as Harry Potter Day every year to remind people of Harry's adventures.

The first part of the Harry Potter film 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' came in the year 2001. After this, its second part 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' came in 2002. Its third part 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' came in 2004. The fourth part 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' came in 2005. This was followed by 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix', 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince', 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1', and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2'.
