Maharashtra Politics: Even after a month, there is no whereabouts of the cabinet, Shinde's visit to Delhi postponed

There are reports of a standoff in Maharashtra between the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction and the BJP over cabinet expansion. It has been almost a month since Shinde became the CM, but new ministers are not being appointed.

 

After the rebellion in Shivsena, Shinde was sworn in as CM on June 30 and BJP leader and former CM Devendra Fadnavis were sworn in as Deputy CM. After that Shinde won the trust vote of the assembly. Since then, the matter of expansion of the cabinet is stuck. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Shinde was to go to Delhi to finalize the list of potential ministers, but the visit was postponed at the last minute. In Delhi, he was about to meet top BJP leaders.

CM Shinde had said last day that he would expand his cabinet in the next three days, but after his Delhi tour was postponed, the market of speculation heated up. The stand-off between the Shinde faction and the BJP has also been discussed.

Shinde and Fadnavis have gone to Delhi several times after assuming power in Maharashtra, but the expansion of the cabinet is not getting the green signal. During every Delhi tour, it is said that Shinde and Fadnavis will soon expand the cabinet, but in reality, this is not happening.
