This Likhpune road accident is in the news these days. Here a speeding luxury car hit a bike, killing two people. The car was being driven by a 17-year-old minor, who was completely intoxicated. The court had sentenced him to write an essay and released him. Later, when the dispute escalated, the court canceled his bail and sent him to the observation home. Police arrested four people including the father of the accused.

Maharashtra government also expressed concern in the matter. At the same time, the opposition attacked the state government. The opposition alleged that local NCP MLA Sunil Tingre had tried to put pressure on the police in this matter. The Shiv Sena leader questioned why the NCP MLA had gone to the police station at midnight. At the same time, the father of the deceased held the administration responsible for the accident. After all, know sequentially what has happened till now in this case…

The whole matter starts on Sunday. In the early hours of Sunday, the 17-year-old accused was driving a luxury car under the influence of alcohol. During this, he hit a bike. Two people died in this. Both were engineers by profession. The people nearby first beat the accused badly and then handed him over to the police. The deceased have been identified as Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa. Both were going home after partying.

Case registered and presented in court, later released

A case was registered against the accused at Yerwada police station under sections 279 (rash driving), 304 A (causing death by negligence), 337 (endangering human life), and 338 (causing grievous hurt), among other sections. The accused was also taken into custody. He was presented in the court on Sunday itself. The court released him. The court directed him to write an essay on road accidents and work with the Yerwada traffic police for 15 days. During this time, the police also registered a case against the bar and the father of the accused. However, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar had told the media that we had requested the court to treat the accused like an adult. This is a heinous crime, we have also demanded the custody of the minor. We will go to the sessions court against the court order.

Vedant seen drinking alcohol, spent thousands of rupees

Amidst all this, a video of the accused surfaced, in the video the accused was seen drinking alcohol with friends. According to the police, the accused minor had partied in many pubs before the accident. Before the accident, he had spent Rs 48,000 in just 90 minutes by visiting two pubs. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that the minor paid the bill of Rs 48,000 in Koji. Which was the first pub visited by Kishore and his companions at 10.40 pm on Saturday. They moved to another pub, the Black Marriott, at 12:10 after the Koji restaurant stopped serving them. Kumar said, we have received a bill of Rs 48,000 from the pub, which was paid by the minor's driver.

Police arrested four including the father

The court released the teenager on minor conditions. This decision of the court was widely criticized. The police arrested the accused's father, Kosi restaurant owner Naman Pralhad Bhootada, its manager Sachin Katkar, and Black Club Hotel manager Sandeep Sangle and produced them in court. The special court of Pune has sent him to police custody till May 24.

CM-Deputy CM came into action

Pune Police chief had said on Tuesday that Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis have directed to take strict action in the case related to the car accident allegedly involving a 17-year-old boy. Fadnavis had said that the incident in Pune is disturbing. I held a meeting with police officials and took stock of what had happened so far and what action would be taken.

Rahul Gandhi said- Why don't truck-bus drivers write essays?

Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi has raised questions about the decision by sharing a video on social media platform X. He also attacked the central government. By sharing the video, Rahul Gandhi said that if a bus driver, truck driver, Ola-Uber, or auto accidentally kills someone, they get a jail term of 10 years. Pick up the key and throw it away. But, if a 16-17-year-old son of a rich family drives a Porsche under the influence of alcohol and kills two people, then he is asked to write an essay. Why not get this essay written by bus, auto, and Uber drivers?

Politics also started

The opposition accused the government of the matter. Shiv Sena UBT leader Ambadas Danve on Wednesday asked whether Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis visited Pune after the incident to save the investigating agencies. Danve alleged that the Deputy CM visited Pune only after the uproar over the Pune accident on social media. Meanwhile, it also came to light that local NCP MLA Sunil Tingre had tried to put pressure on the police in this matter. Danve raised the question as to why the NCP MLA had gone to the police station at midnight when information about the case could be obtained even over the phone.

The last rites of the dead took place, the father raised questions

On Tuesday, the last rites of both the deceased were performed in Jabalpur and Birsinghpur Pali. During this time, the relatives of the deceased raised questions about the arrangements and said that the children were dreaming of their bright future. Along with their dreams, our dreams were also shattered. Ashwani's father Suresh Kumar Koshta said that his daughter was dreaming of her bright future. Along with his dreams, my dreams were also shattered. Every father wishes to be known by the name of his children. Now who will say that he is Ashwini's father? He blamed the family's upbringing on the system for this incident and said that if rules and regulations had been followed, this accident would not have happened. Apart from this, the minor was driving the car at high speed under the influence of alcohol, but there was no one to stop him. If the traffic police had followed their responsibilities, this incident would not have happened.

He said that the government makes laws and it is the responsibility of the administration to follow them. If the administration officials and the parents of the minor teenager had fulfilled their responsibilities properly, this accident would not have happened. The parents and administration of the minor boy are responsible for this accident. Who did not perform their responsibilities properly?
