Malabar exercise: Indian Navy will see the power, US Navy Chief said - committed to running US-India defense partnership together

The second phase of the Navy's most famous Malabar exercise in the Bay of Bengal began today. This exercise will run from 12-15 October. This includes the Indian Navy, the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force of Japan, the Royal Australian Navy of Australia, and the US Navy. Several warships and other ships from the front lines of the navies will perform in this exercise. The Malabar Naval Exercise began in 1992 as a bilateral exercise between the Indian Navy and the US Navy in the Indian Ocean. Japan also became its member in 2015. Australia also started participating in the Malabar exercise last year after India's invitation.

 

 

US Navy Chief arrives in India

US Navy Chief Admiral Michael Gilday has also visited India to see the Malabar exercise. During this, Gilday said that I express my gratitude to Admiral Singh and the Indian Navy for hosting me during my visit to India. We remain committed to running our US-India defense partnership together. Including increased information sharing, regional security, and simultaneous exercises at sea.

 

Marcos is no less than a US seal

MARCOS is also known as Marine Commando Force. This is a special forces team of the Indian Navy. Marcos has carried out secret missions since the 1980s. Marcos carries out his operations with such speed and promptness that he cannot be underestimated in any way compared to the US SEALs. The Indian Navy's Elite Special Forces specialize in everything from counter-terrorist attacks to underwater operations, anti-piracy operations, etc. Marcos commandos are equipped with the best weapons in the world including the TAR-21 assault rifle.

 

Marcos training toughest

Marine Commandos or MARCOS is a special forces unit of the Indian Navy, initially named as Indian Marine Special Forces. However, two years later, their name was changed to Marine Commando Force. It was established in 1987. The training of Marcos is so extensive that they are also used in terrorism, navy operations, and anti-piracy operations. The motto of Marine Commandos is - The Few of the Fearless. The training of Marine Commandos is one of the toughest training in the world. One Marcos out of 1000 soldiers gets ready.
