Mid-term election primaries have begun in the US. In a recent survey by three agencies, President Joe Biden's Democratic Party is lagging behind former President Donald Trump's Republican Party. The Democratic Party got the support of 44% of the people on different issues in the survey, while the Republican Party got the support of 47% of the people.

The biggest displeasure of the people surveyed with the Democratic Party is rising inflation. 41% of the people say that the Republican Party will prove to be better in controlling the rising inflation. Whereas, only 20% supported the steps taken by the Biden government on the same issue.

Biden's approval rating is up 2%

What's promising for Biden in this survey is that his approval rating is still at 41%, up from 39% in March. It is noteworthy that the mid-term elections in the US are due in November. For this, the primary is starting in May. During the primaries in the American election, the candidates of both the major parties go to the public and based on popularity then get the candidature in their party.

The next picture of the House of Representatives and the Senate will be revealed from the midterm elections to be held in 11 states of America in November. These results will also prove to be important in setting the basis for Biden and Trump's candidacy for the 2024 presidential election.
