Modi Cabinet 2024: Modi's 71 ministers will be seen in action mode from today, and instructions given to take charge and work immediately

Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening (9 June). A total of 71 ministers, including 30 cabinet ministers, have taken oath along with him. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi went to the PMO on Monday morning and took charge.

 

Along with this, all the ministers of the Modi government have been instructed to go to their offices and take charge immediately. Most of the Union Ministers will take charge of their ministry by offering prayers at 9 am on Tuesday.

All the ministers were allotted their departments on Monday. Rajnath Singh will also take charge of Defense, Amit Shah Home, Nirmala Sitharaman Finance, and S. Jaishankar Foreign Ministry in the third innings of the Modi government. Nitin Gadkari will continue to handle the responsibility of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

 

Shivraj Singh Chouhan given responsibility of Agriculture Ministry

 

Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former CM of Haryana Manohar Lal have joined the Union Cabinet for the first time. They have been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture-Farmer Welfare, Rural Development, and Housing and Urban Affairs respectively. Manohar Lal has also been given the Ministry of Energy, which shows his big role at the Centre.
