Which country's passport is the most powerful in the world and which country's passport is the weakest in the world, the ranking of passports in the year 2022 has come out. The Henley Passport Index has released the rankings based on specific data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on passport independence. India is ranked 83rd in the Henley Passport Index, up to seven places from October 2021. India now has access to 60 countries without a prior visa.

 

 

Japan and Singapore tops

In this list, both Japan and Singapore again secured the first position on the list. Passport holders from these countries can travel to 192 countries without a visa. After this, the passports of Germany and South Korea once again occupy second place. Passport holders of these countries can travel to 190 countries without a prior visa. While Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain jointly share the third rank of the list. Citizens of these countries can travel to 189 countries without a visa. With access to 188 countries without prior visas, France and the Netherlands climbed up one place to join Austria and Denmark at number four.

 

 

Countries like US-UK at this place

Ireland and Portugal are at number five who can travel to 187 countries without a prior visa. Belgium, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, the UK, and the US are some of the six countries that rank sixth in the list. Citizens of these countries can visit 186 countries without any prior visa. The Czech Republic, Greece, and Malta, including Australia and Canada, moved up a place to seventh. People from these five countries can travel to 185 countries without a prior visa.

 

This country is ranked ninth and tenth

Hungary has moved up two places and Poland has climbed three places to reach the eighth position in the list this time. People from these two countries can enter 184 countries without a prior visa. The passports of Lithuania and Slovakia rank ninth and citizens here have the right to travel to 182 countries without a prior visa. Estonia, Latvia, and Slovakia shared the tenth ranking in the list of powerful passport countries. Passport holders of these countries can enjoy visa-free travel to 181 countries.
