MS Dhoni: Defamation case filed against MS Dhoni, case to be heard in Delhi High Court on January 29

The Delhi High Court has adjourned till January 29 the hearing in the defamation case filed against former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni by two former business partners.

 

A bench of Justice Pratibha M Singh also asked the plaintiff to inform Dhoni regarding the lawsuit. Plaintiff and former business partner Mihir Diwakar and his wife Soumya Das have sought a permanent injunction against Dhoni as well as several social media platforms and media houses along with a direction to pay damages.

 

It is noteworthy that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an Indian professional cricketer. He is counted among the great wicketkeeper-batsmen and captains of cricket. He represented the Indian cricket team. He was the captain of the team in ODI from 2007 to 2017 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. Apart from this, Dhoni plays and captains for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
