The final preparations for the Prayagraj Mahakumbh to be held in Uttar Pradesh are in full swing. To participate in this Mahakumbh, devotees will reach Prayagraj not only from abroad but also from various states of the country. In such a situation, keeping in mind the health of the people, Indian Railways has taken an important step. Railways have made special arrangements for the health and safety of pilgrims at the railway stations of Prayagraj. 24x7 observation rooms have been arranged for special medical facilities so that quick and effective medical service can be provided in any emergency.

Railways had provided first aid to 1 lakh devotees during the last Kumbh. This time the Railways will provide high-quality medical service to a large number of passengers. These will be the arrangements in these observation rooms and other medical centers set up by the Railways. These include ECG machine for quick identification of heart-related problems, a defibrillator to normalize the heart when it stops, an oxygen concentrator to deal with lack of oxygen, and a glucometer for sugar patients which will measure blood sugar.

Railway officials said that medical services will be available 24 hours a day and seven days a week at railway stations during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Whenever a passenger needs medical assistance, they will be provided first aid immediately. Along with this, the railways will maintain coordination with hospitals and health centers so that any patient can be referred immediately if needed.

Railway officials said that observation rooms have been set up at Prayagraj Junction, Prayag Junction, Subedarganj, Naini Junction, and Prayagraj Chheoki stations. Doctors and other medical staff will always be present in these rooms. All the necessary medical equipment will be available here so that quick treatment can be provided to the passengers. These will include 15 staff nurses, 12 pharmacists, 12 hospital attendants, and 15 housekeeping assistants. These employees have been deployed to ensure that medical services run smoothly in all shifts. The duration of each shift will be 8 hours.
