The peak of excitement was seen in the third T20 between India and Afghanistan. India has defeated Afghanistan in the three-match T20 series. After winning the first and second T20 by six wickets each, Team India defeated Afghanistan in the double super over in the third T20. In the stipulated 20 overs, India had scored 212 runs for four wickets, thanks to Rohit Sharma's unbeaten 121 runs and Rinku Singh's unbeaten 69 runs. In reply, the Afghanistan team could also score 212 runs after losing six wickets in 20 overs. The match was tied and reached the super over.

In the first super over, Afghanistan batted first and scored 16 runs. In reply, India could also score 16 runs. Batting first in the second super over, India scored 11 runs and then allowed Afghanistan to score only one run. Afghanistan team lost two wickets in three balls and thus Team India won. India's innings

India won the toss and batted first and scored 212 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. Rohit and Rinku's storm was seen at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. At one time India had lost four wickets for 22 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was out after scoring four runs and Shivam Dubey was out after scoring one run. Whereas, Virat Kohli and Sanju Samson could not open the account. After this, Rohit and Rinku made an unbeaten partnership of 190 runs in 95 balls for the fifth wicket.

 

No one thought that Team India would be able to reach the score of 200, but Hitman and Rinku did it. Rohit scored a record fifth century of his T20 international career. He has become the player with the most centuries in this format. He remained unbeaten after scoring 121 runs in 69 balls with the help of 11 fours and eight sixes. At the same time, Rinku scored the second half-century of her T20 international career. He remained unbeaten after scoring 69 runs in 39 balls. In his innings, he hit two fours and six sixes.

 

Rohit's best T20 score

121 runs is Rohit's highest score in this format. Earlier, he had scored 118 runs against Sri Lanka in 2017. Rohit has scored a century in T20 International after five years and two months or rather 62 months or rather 1899 days. He scored his last century against West Indies in November 2018. Farid Ahmed took three wickets for Afghanistan. At the same time, Azmatullah Omarzai got one wicket.

 

Stormy batting in the last five overs

In the last five overs, India scored 103 runs without losing any wickets. Karim Janat came to bowl the last over and in this over Rohit and Rinku scored 36 runs. Rohit hit a four on the first ball. After this, Rohit hit a six on the second ball. It was given no ball. Rohit again hit a six on the free hit. Rohit took one run on the third ball. Rinku hit a six on the fourth ball. After this, Rinku hit three consecutive sixes on the last three balls.

 

Zadran and Gurbaz gave a stormy start

Captain Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz gave a good start to the Afghanistan team chasing the huge target of 213 runs. Both added 93 runs. This partnership was broken by Kuldeep Yadav. He got Gurbaz caught out. He scored 50 runs in 32 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. Whereas, Zadran was out after scoring 50 runs in 41 balls with the help of four fours and one six. Azmatullah Omarzai could not open the account.

 

Nabi made the match exciting by batting aggressively

Mohammad Nabi played a stormy innings of 34 runs in 16 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes and turned the match towards Afghanistan. However, Washington Sundar sent Nabi to the pavilion with his steady bowling in the 17th over. Karim Janat was run out after scoring two runs and Najibullah Zadran was out after scoring five runs. These wickets again made the match exciting.

 

What happened in the 20th over?

Afghanistan needed 19 runs in the last over to win. Gulbadin Naib was at the crease. He, along with Sharafuddin Ashraf, scored 18 runs in the 20th over and the match was tied. Gulbadin remained unbeaten after scoring 55 runs in 23 balls with the help of four fours and four sixes. Washington Sundar took three wickets for India. At the same time, Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Yadav got one wicket each.
