Nz vs Aus 1st Test: Cameron Green became the messiah for Australia, and created a stir by scoring a stormy century

The first Test of the two-match Test series between New Zealand vs Australia (NZ vs AUS) is being played at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. New Zealand team captain Tim Southee decided to bowl in the first test. New Zealand's bowling was excellent in the first day's play, where Matt Henry took 4 wickets, while Williams and Scott took 2 wickets each.

 

Rachin also had one wicket in his account. New Zealand's bowlers did not allow the Australian team's batsmen to stay on the crease for long. After the fall of the initial wicket, Cameron Green took over the team's innings. Batting at number 4, Cameron faced 155 balls and scored an unbeaten 103 at stumps on the first day. Cameron Green scored his first Test century against New Zealand.

In fact, in the first Test match being played in Wellington, New Zealand captain Tim Southee won the toss and decided to bowl first. This decision of Saudi proved wrong in the beginning because by lunch Australia had scored 62 runs after losing only one wicket. The pair of Usman Khawaja (33) and Steve Smith (31) gave a great start to Australia, but the middle-order batsmen could not take advantage of it.

 

After this, Cameron Green created a stir with the bat and scored an unbeaten 103 runs with the help of 16 fours in 155 balls. Cameron scored the second century of his Test cricket career, while this was his first century against New Zealand. Apart from him, 40 runs came from the bat of Mitchell Marsh. Captain Pat Cummins could not do anything with the bat. Pat could only score 16 runs on 24 balls and thus the Australian team scored 279 runs at the loss of 9 wickets till the first day's play.
