Army has killed 33 Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) terrorists who captured the Counter Terrorism Center (CTD) in the Bannu district of Pakistan. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif gave this information to the Parliament. Two commandos have also been killed in the operation.

For about three days, TTP terrorists were keeping four soldiers including a Major hostage. Pakistan had sent a team of 16 clerics to Afghanistan for talks to resolve the issue. Their effort was to make the Afghan Taliban ready for the surrender of TTP terrorists. This attempt proved unsuccessful.

Some media reports claimed that TTP terrorists were demanding a helicopter to go to Afghanistan. After this, the Pakistani army conducted a military operation that lasted for 40 hours.

The terrorists also killed the officer

TTP terrorists captured an anti-terrorist center in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state. Some people including four soldiers were made hostage. One was also murdered. The situation was so bad that the Government of Pakistan was unable to release the hostages.

Terrorists wanted to go to Afghanistan

Security forces surrounded the entire cantonment from all sides. The army and the local administration were trying to free the hostages through negotiations. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government's spokesperson Muhammad Ali Saif had said- The terrorists have put a condition in front of the government, they want the government to let them go safely to Afghanistan.

Gun snatched from police during interrogation, then capture of the entire center

TTP's capture of the Counter Terrorism Center began during the interrogation of a terrorist. An officer in the center was interrogating the TTP terrorist. At the same time, the terrorist snatched AK 47 from his hand and got his fellow terrorists released. In no time, all the terrorists captured the entire center and took the officers prisoner.

threatening to kill officers

According to the report of Aljazeera, a video is being circulated on social media in which terrorists were threatening that if they are not released, they will kill all the officers present in captivity.

What did America say?

America had offered help to Pakistan to fight TTP. US State Department spokesman Ned Price said- We demand the terrorists to stop the violence immediately and release all the prisoners.

Tension in Pakistan and Afghanistan for several months

There has been tremendous tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan regarding the border for about 6 months. In the past, many Pakistani soldiers have died in Taliban firing. To reduce this tension, Pakistan's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar went to Afghanistan two weeks ago. He was accompanied by a delegation of officers from the Foreign and Defense Ministries.

The special thing is that when the officials of the Taliban government, who advocated keeping women imprisoned in boundary walls and hijab, arrived at Kabul airport to receive Hina, she was in her old glamorous style. Far from wearing hijab, she had not even put a scarf on her head. Some clerics of Pakistan had also opposed sending Hina to Afghanistan.

The border dispute is the root of the dispute

Pakistan and Afghanistan are separated by a border. This is called the Durand Line. Pakistan considers it a boundary line, but the Taliban clearly say that Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state is its part.

The Pakistani army has done fencing here with barbed wire.

On 15 August 2021, the Sultanate of Afghanistan was captured by the Taliban. He made it clear only after 5 days i.e. on 20th August that Pakistan will have to vacate the part of Afghanistan because the Taliban does not accept Durand Line.

Pakistan opposed this and deployed an army there. After this, the Taliban blew up the Pakistani check posts there. Many Pakistani soldiers have been killed in this area and many are under the control of the Taliban. Only last week, 6 Pakistani soldiers were killed in Taliban firing.

There are two main factions of the Taliban. First: Afghan Taliban. It is running the government of Afghanistan. Second: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan which is called TTP in common parlance. TTP does 90% of terrorist attacks in Pakistan. It wants to implement Sharia law there along the lines of Afghanistan. Pakistan considers the army as its biggest enemy. Now Taliban is ruling in Afghanistan and Pakistan Taliban is taking advantage of it.

This is how the Taliban flourished in Pakistan

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan is considered the most dangerous of all the terrorist organizations that exist in Pakistan, which is called the factory of terrorism. This organization took responsibility for the attack on Malala Yousafzai. It was he who attacked the Sainik School in Peshawar and killed 114 children.

The roots of the Pakistani Taliban had started at the same time when many terrorists fled from Afghanistan after the US action in 2002 and were hiding in the tribal areas of Pakistan. When the action against these terrorists started, there was opposition to the Pakistan Army in the Swat Valley. Many rebel groups began to flourish in the tribal areas.

In such a situation, in December 2007, 13 groups under the leadership of Baitullah Mehsud decided to join a Tehreek i.e. campaign, hence the organization was named Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. In short, it is also called TTP or Pakistani Taliban. It is a separate organization from the Taliban of Afghanistan, but the intentions are more or less the same. Both organizations implement Sharia law Want to.
