Pakistan: Taliban terrorists first killed policemen, then asked for helicopter to go to Afghanistan

Two policemen taken hostage at an anti-terrorism center in Pakistan's restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were killed by Pakistani Taliban militants, while several others were injured. Alerting the special forces of the army, talks are on with the terrorists to release the hostage policemen. The terrorists have demanded a helicopter from the security forces to go safely to Afghanistan.

 

30 terrorists involved in the incident

According to The Express Tribune, around 30 terrorists are involved in the incident. Internet service has been suspended in the Bannu district. This dramatic development started on Sunday during the interrogation of suspected terrorists at the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station at the Counter Terrorism Center located in the cantonment in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Meanwhile, a terrorist snatched an AK-47 rifle from the police and opened fire. After this, the terrorist freed his other companions and took hostage the policemen who were interrogating him. The banned Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) Pakistan has released a video saying nine policemen are held hostage in the CTD.

Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani and state government minister Malik Shah Muhammad have reached Bannu for talks with the terrorists and efforts are on to release the hostages through talks. At the same time, the terrorists have demanded local religious leader Maulana Ahmed Ullah negotiate a settlement with the security personnel.
