investigation of the matter at a higher level

According to a BBC Urdu report, Babgar Baloch, a spokesman for the banned militant outfit Baloch Republican Army, has claimed responsibility for the blast on Twitter. BBC Urdu quoted Gwadar Deputy Commissioner Major (Retd), Abdul Kabir Khan, as saying that the matter is being investigated at the highest level.

All the rebels came as tourists

Former Major Abdul Kabir Khan said that all the rebels had entered the area as tourists and destroyed Jinnah's statue by planting explosives. According to him, no arrest has been made so far but the investigation will be completed in a day or two. He said that the matter is being looked into from all angles and the culprits will be caught soon.

This type of act is an attack on the ideology of Pakistan: Sarfaraz Bugti

On the other hand, former Home Minister of Balochistan and current Senator Sarfaraz Bugti wrote in a tweet that the demolition of Quaid-e-Azam's statue in Gwadar is an attack on the ideology of Pakistan. I request the authorities to punish the perpetrators in the same way as we did for the attack on the Quaid-e-Azam residence in Ziarat.

Jinnah's building was also blown up in the year 2013.

Earlier in 2013, Baloch rebels blew up Jinnah's 121-year-old building in Ziarat. Due to the explosion, a massive fire broke out in this building, which continued to blaze for about four hours. Let us tell that due to suffering from tuberculosis, Jinnah spent the last days of his life there. It was later declared a national monument.
