Chinese authorities have responded to the surge in the disease by lifting COVID-19 restrictions and targeting known variants such as influenza, Mycoplasma pneumoniae (a common bacterial infection that commonly affects young children), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and SARS-CoV-2. attributed to the spread of pathogens.
