Speaking on the skirmish between the soldiers of China and India along the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that even after 1962, India has been losing its territories to China. But now after the arrival of PM Modi, this is not going to happen in New India. After the arrival of Prime Minister Modi in 2014, China is now being answered in its language. Because preparations have increased manifold from infrastructure like road bridges to the number of soldiers.
The situation is normal on LAC
Pema Khandu arrived in Mumbai on Thursday to attend the One India Award ceremony as the chief guest. This award given by My Home India, a social organization working among the North Eastern states, has been given this time to Tech Gubin, a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, for reviving the original tribal traditions of Arunachal Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that I am the MLA of the same Jiangxi sector from where reports of skirmishes between Indian and Chinese soldiers are coming. The presence of the MLA from the Jiangxi sector and the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh in Mumbai today is proof that the situation there is normal.
India lost territories even after 1962
Khandu further said that in 1962, only a platoon of 60-70 soldiers with a Major was manning the Jiangxi sector. Due to this China got a chance to attack. Now a battalion of 1000 soldiers with a full colonel is always present in the Yangshi sector, located at an altitude of 16000 feet above sea level. Khandu lamented that not only did we lose the war with China in 1962, but even after that India has been losing territory. He told that in 1986, India had lost an area of 10 to 20 kilometers to the hands of China in Mon Dalang Chhu of Arunachal Pradesh.
Nehru stopped the hoisting of the flag on the border of Arunachal
Referring to the mistakes made shortly after independence, Khandu said that in 1914 the Shimla Agreement was signed. The entire Arunachal Pradesh including Tawang was considered a part of India. According to this agreement, after independence, Sardar Patel sent Major Bab Cutting to hoist the Indian flag on the border of Arunachal Pradesh. But by the time Major Bab reached the cutting border, Sardar Patel had passed away. Then when the Governor of Assam wanted to confirm this order with Prime Minister Nehru, Nehru refused to hoist the flag saying what do we have to do by taking that place? Despite Nehru's comment, Major Bob Cutting hoisted the flag of India on the border of Arunachal, due to which Arunachal is a part of India today.
