Pakistan's new security policy, NSA warned, if relations do not improve, then India will suffer the most

While issuing a new national security policy, Pakistan has warned India and said that if India does not take the right steps towards improving relations, then it will suffer the most.

 

According to Pakistan's National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf, in the new policy, "the basis of relations between the two countries has been told to Jammu and Kashmir".

 

Pakistan's security policy is for five years but it has taken seven years to prepare it.

 

The news agency PTI, quoting Pakistan's 'The Express Tribune' newspaper, has informed that regarding the new policy, Yusuf said, "It has described Jammu and Kashmir as the basis of two-way relations."

 

On the other hand, in a conversation with BBC correspondent Shumaila Jaffrey in Islamabad, Pakistani officials claimed that Pakistan's "new security policy does not mention any particular country".

 

Pakistani officials told the BBC that they want to maintain better relations with all countries, including India.

 

However, these officials also claimed that if relations do not improve, "India will also suffer".

On the other hand, PTI has referred to the report in 'The Express Tribune' and told that when Pakistan's National Security Advisor Yusuf was asked what message has been given to India in the new policy, he said, It has been said that he should take the right steps. According to the newspaper, the message for India in the new policy is that 'if you do not take the right steps, it will be a matter of loss for the entire region, but India will suffer the most.'

According to the Government of Pakistan, this policy has been prepared with the consent of the military and civil administration and it was being prepared from the year 2014. Last month, this policy was approved by the cabinet and the National Security Committee also approved it.

 

The hundred-page original version of the new policy has been kept confidential.

 

The Government of Pakistan claims that for the first time, a national security policy has been prepared giving priority to 'civilian interests' and through this Pakistan wants to bring its decaying economy back on track. He also wants to improve his picture in the world.

 

Earlier, the security policy of Pakistan was prepared to keep in mind the development of military capabilities only. It is a common opinion that the military has a major role in the security and foreign policy in Pakistan. But when we talked to very senior officials of the National Security Division, they said that Pakistan wants peaceful relations with all its neighboring countries.

 

It is understood by all that relations with India and stability in Afghanistan are both important for regional connectivity, but as of now, it seems unlikely that progress in this direction is visible shortly, especially in terms of relations with India, where Indian The Janata Party-led government is using Pakistan for domestic politics.
