Aam Aadmi Party convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has attacked the BJP-led central government. Arvind Kejriwal also took a dig at the BJP while raising the issue of increasing crime in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal wrote on the social media platform X, "People are being murdered openly in Delhi and the BJP is saying that crime is not an issue in Delhi. Women are being raped in broad daylight, women are scared, and the BJP is saying that crime is not an issue in Delhi. Bullets are being fired openly on the streets, and the BJP is saying that crime is not an issue in Delhi."
'Traders are getting ransom calls'
Arvind Kejriwal did not stop here. He further wrote, "Traders are getting ransom calls, and the Bharatiya Janata Party is saying that crime is not an issue in Delhi. If you do not accept the problem, how will the solution come out?"
The issue was also raised on 1 December.
Earlier on Sunday (1 December 2024), Kejriwal posted a post expressing concern over the increasing crime in Delhi. In this post, he wrote, "Crime in Delhi is not decreasing. Even today 3 people were murdered and an attempt was made to murder 1 person. A 38-year-old delivery partner was murdered in Northwest Delhi. A young man was murdered in the Prashant Vihar area of Rohini. A young man was found dead near Geeta Colony flyover in East Delhi. He was murdered by slitting his throat. Someone stabbed a policeman in North-East Delhi and tried to kill him. There is panic among the people. The people of Delhi are living in an atmosphere of fear every moment. People need security. When will our people be safe?"
