Uttar Pradesh Police has banned the entry of heavy vehicles coming from Bihar from Monday evening. The National Highway passing through Mohaniya area of Kaimur district of Bihar remained jammed for the sixth day on Monday. However, the movement of small vehicles has been continued.

Entry of big vehicles was stopped on Monday. The problem of jam will be serious due to stopping the entry of vehicles at the Karmanasha border. At the same time, devotees from Chhattisgarh continue to come for Maha Kumbh. After entering Uttar Pradesh, the national highway starts from Hathinala ahead of Babhani. From here, people are going to Prayagraj via Robertsganj and Mirzapur. The pressure of vehicles is increasing.

Jam at Natwa Tiraha of Vindhyachal for 72 hours

There has been a jam at Natwa Tiraha of Vindhyachal on Prayagraj-Varanasi Highway for 72 hours. The movement of vehicles remained smooth on Monday on the Prayagraj road passing through Mungarabadshahpur town in Jaunpur. The situation on Kanpur-Prayagraj highway has also improved and the pressure of vehicles has reduced. Meanwhile, route diversion will remain on the highway due to the Maghi Purnima bathing festival.

Apart from Rewa, Chitrakoot of Madhya Pradesh, devotees coming from Delhi, Lucknow, and Bihar were also stuck in the jam for several hours. Due to the arrival of VIPs in the Mahakumbh Mela area, vehicles were diverted on the highway. In the afternoon, police officials started sending vehicles parked from the fair to the outside area towards their destination quickly to ease the traffic system.

Then the jam reduced a bit.

The movement stopped in the border districts of UP-MP for the third day as well.

Due to the unbridled crowd of devotees going to Mahakumbh, movement from the border districts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh has almost stopped for the last three days. On Monday afternoon, after the information of the reduction in the pressure of the crowd in Mahakumbh, the police administration started moving the vehicles forward by removing the barricading. However, a large number of vehicles are gathered at toll nakas and barricading points. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has appealed to those going to Maha Kumbh to avoid going ahead from the Rewa route for a day or two until the situation becomes normal.
