The land of Assam and the Northeast has been a witness to this. The valor and courage shown by Veer Lachit were the culmination of immense love for the motherland.
India's history is not only of slavery

He said, the journey of Atmanirbhar Bharat had started only then and now Prime Minister Modi has taken it forward.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said Prime Minister Modi has always inspired us to shed light on the unsung heroes of our history. It is our effort to bring the glorious story of Lachit Barphukan in front of the country, he said, but the efforts of the government alone are not enough.
