Cristiano Ronaldo has written a new history. The Portugal star has become the most capped player in men's football. Ronaldo achieved this special position in the qualifier match being played for Euro 2024. Ronaldo has left Bader Al-Mutawa behind in this matter. Apart from achieving the special feat, the star footballer also scored two goals to help Portugal win 4-0 in the one-sided match.

Ronaldo created history

Ronaldo landed on the field to play his 197th international match against Liechtenstein for Portugal and set a new history. Ronaldo made this match even more special with his performance. The star player scored two scintillating goals in the match to seal the victory for Portugal.

Ronaldo told his motivation to the records

Ronaldo looked very happy after holding the record of playing the most international matches. He said, "Records are the biggest motivation for me. I want to become the most capped player in history. That will make me proud." Ronaldo has so far scored 120 goals for Portugal and has also become the first player to score 100 goals in international matches.

Star footballer made his debut in 2003

Ronaldo made his debut in International Football in the year 2003. In the FIFA World Cup held in the year 2022, Ronaldo also became the first player in the world to score goals in five World Cups. However, the journey of Portugal's team ended in the quarter-finals itself and they had to face defeat at the hands of Morocco. After the defeat, Ronaldo was also seen as very sad and he was also seen crying bitterly on the field.

After the World Cup, Ronaldo linked up with Saudi football club Al Nasr and he has also scored 9 goals in 10 matches for the club. Ronaldo is currently running in excellent form, which he is showing in the qualifier matches for Euro Cup 2024.
