PM Modi Egypt Visit: PM Modi meets prominent yoga instructors of Egypt and invites them to visit India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met prominent yoga instructors Reem Jabak and Nada Adel in Cairo and encouraged them to visit India. He also commended them for their commitment to yoga, as the two instructors briefed the Prime Minister about the popularity of yoga in Egypt.

The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi tweeted, "PM Modi had a warm interaction with two young leading yoga instructors, Reem Jabak and Nada Adele, in Cairo. The PM praised them for their commitment to Yoga and invited them to India." He encouraged the Prime Minister to come. He told the Prime Minister about the great enthusiasm for Yoga in Egypt."

 

Reem Jabak shared her experience

Meanwhile, Reem Jabak, one of the yoga instructors, spoke to ANI and shared her experience after meeting the Prime Minister in Cairo. They said,

PM Modi is a yoga enthusiast and he proved it during his recent state visit to the US.

 

During his US tour, PM Modi participated in a yoga program organized at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

 

The special yoga session led by Prime Minister Modi on the lawns of the United Nations Headquarters in New York also entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of nationalities performing yoga together.

 

The Prime Minister led a special yoga session on the lawns of the United Nations Headquarters to mark the ninth edition of the International Day of Yoga on 21 June.

 

PM Modi arrived on a two-day visit to Egypt

Currently, PM Modi is in Egypt on a two-day visit at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. On arrival in Cairo, he was received by Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly and accorded a ceremonial welcome.

 

First Indian Prime Minister to visit Egypt after 1997

He became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Egypt after 1997. He also met members of the Indian diaspora there. He was given a very warm welcome. During his visit to Egypt, Prime Minister Modi held a round table meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Mustafa Madbouly.
