Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Kanpur today at 5.15 pm. He will take out a one-kilometer-long road show in the Gumti area, the densest area of the city. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present with him. This is the first visit of Modi, who is coming to Kanpur to start the campaign for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections.
The PM will land at Chakeri Airport at 5:15 pm. From there, his convoy will reach Road Chakeri via Ramadevi, COD bridge, Jhakarkati bus stand, Zarib Chowki in front of Opium Kothi intersection, and then Kirtangarh Gurudwara on GT Road Gumti. On reaching here, he will first pay obeisance at the Gurudwara. After that, he will ride on a chariot and go on a roadshow. 37 blocks have been made for the people in the Prime Minister's roadshow, in which people from every society and organization will stand in each block and welcome the Prime Minister on his arrival in the city.
Due to PM's road show, this entire route has been guarded since Friday evening. SPG has taken over the security arrangements. On Friday afternoon, along with inspection of the route from Airport Chakeri to the venue of the event, police also conducted a rehearsal for the arrival of PM and CM. It is being told that during the roadshow, Prime Minister Modi will be accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi, BJP candidate Ramesh Awasthi, and other prominent leaders on the chariot.
150 safe points made from Chakeri to Fazalganj Khoya Mandi
Security arrangements have been made for the Prime Minister's proposed roadshow on Saturday, May 4. During this, those points have also been kept in mind which can be used in case of emergency. From Chakeri to Fazalganj Khowa Mandi, the police identified more than 150 safe points. Their list has been prepared and also handed over to senior officers and SPG officials.
Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar, DCP Traffic Aarti Singh, and ADCP East Lakhan Singh Yadav saw the route from Air Force Station to Gumti Gurudwara on Friday afternoon. The police have prepared three routes for the Prime Minister. Which of these routes he will take is confidential. Along with this, more than 150 safe points including houses, shops, streets, etc. have been identified. According to police sources, these safe points can be used in case of emergency.
There will be 360 degree security system
There will be a security cordon around the Prime Minister. Also, such arrangements have been made that 360 degree monitoring can be done. The snipers who have come to Kanpur from Delhi. They have also been deployed at such strategic points that the Prime Minister can be monitored from all sides even from a distance. Similarly, the police personnel who have been deployed on the rooftop with binoculars.
Policemen become victims of challan
During Friday's rehearsal, police vehicles were found parked on the road show route. About 18 vehicles were challenged in this. The mobile phones of the three were confiscated. The keys of two vehicles were deposited. Police personnel were instructed to park their vehicles only at marked parking spots on Saturday. Otherwise, action will be taken.
