Ahead of the third phase of Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting in Madha, Maharashtra. During the rally, PM Modi mentioned 60 years of Congress and 10 years of BJP government.


 

He said, "Ever since you have given me work in the last 10 years, I have devoted every part of my body and every moment of my time to your service. Today, the people of the country, the people of Maharashtra, are celebrating 10 years of the Modi government and the Congress. We are seeing the difference in 60 years of government."

PM Modi further mentioned the problem of drought in the state and said, "15 years ago, a very big leader had come here to contest elections. Then he had taken an oath in the setting sun that he would provide water to the drought-affected areas here. But He did not fulfill his promise, now the time has come to punish him."


 

PM Modi targeted Sharad Pawar

PM Modi further targeted Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party - Sharadchandra Pawar, saying, "10 years ago, when the remote control government was running, the powerful leaders of Maharashtra were the Agriculture Ministers. When the powerful leaders here were ruling in Delhi. When we used to do so, then the FRP of sugarcane was around Rs 200, and today during Modi's tenure the FRP of sugarcane is around Rs 350."


 

'Congress betrayed Maharashtra'

Prime Minister Modi said, "Be it Vidarbha, be it Marathwada. This sin of yearning for every drop of water has been happening for years. The country gave Congress a chance to rule for 60 years. In these 60 years, many countries of the world have completely But Congress could not deliver water to the farmers' fields.


 

PM Modi further said that in 2014, there were about 100 irrigation projects that were pending for several decades, out of which 26 projects were from Maharashtra. Imagine how big a betrayal Congress has given to Maharashtra.
